Banking on London Real Estate

The property market in London is amongst one of the most expensive and lucrative in not just the UK but the whole world. As with any large city, however, some areas are considerably more expensive than others.

As a general rule of thumb, the more central boroughs and those lying towards the south west of the city, such as Kensington and Chelsea, Richmond and Fulham, are more expensive and sought after than those boroughs lying to the east and the out lying areas. Examples of the less prosperous boroughs are Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Dagenham

It is not surprising that the banking system is also thriving in London, where much of the finance available for mortgages to fund these expensive purchases can be sought.

B ofanking on London Real Estate is therefore big business, as property in the city is a relatively safe investment for those lucky enough to be able to finance the purchase of a property in this exciting and prosperous city.

Many of the less fashionable and less sought after areas and boroughs of the city have become a good long-term investment. This is due to the 'ripple' effect that these boroughs experience from their more prosperous neighbours. Therefore it is definitely wise to invest in such areas ahead of the crowds, before they become too expensive for your budget.
