| Comments: HOur Bank has an arts focus was originally set up to tackle social isolation amongst older people in the London Borough of Bromley, help build communities and to promote intergenerational relationships.Open to people aged 16+ - our youngest member is 19, eldest is 92. Alongside individual, one-to-one skill swaps and Organisational skill swaps, we also offer Interest Groups - Poetry, Music Participation, Art, Cookery, Knitting, Craft, Reading and Storytelling. Each Interest Group has an HOur Bank member as the group Organiser. HOur Bank operates three outreach venues across the borough in Chislehurst, St Paul's Cray and Hayes, where members can meet up and take part in events organised by the two member's who act as outreach organiser's. Skills available in HOur Bank range from companionship, transportation and IT help to gardening, Scrabble and craft. Organisational members include cultural associations, care homes, retirement fellowships and community groups. |
